Sherry L. DeMaranville, CPA A partner in DeMaranville & Associate, CPAs, LLC, Sherry has practiced in public accounting since 1989.  She specializes in consulting with small businesses and non-profit organizations.  She also specializes in issues affecting both active duty and retired military personnel. Sherry has extensive experience with real estate investors, construction companies, farmers, and professional service clients, as well as tax preparation for individual clients, corporations, partnerships and estates. Sherry resides on a small farm in Atchison County with her husband of 20 years, Paul, and their three children: Andrew, Matthew and Kaitlyn. J. Sanford (Sandy) Bushman, CPA As the senior member of our team, Sandy opened the first accounting office in Leavenworth, Kansas, Morris & Bushman, Accountants, in August 1959.  He later formed the partnership of Bushman & Wolf, CPA's and has remained active as a CPA in Leavenworth since.  His specialties include income tax, estate tax, and trust accounting.   Sandy married Alice R. Carolyn Klemp, CPA Carolyn joined the firm of DeMaranville and Associate CPAs LLC, in October of 2008. She began her career in 1991 as an auditor for Ernst & Young LLP in Kansas City. Since then, she has worked for such companies as American Century Investments, American Express and Hallmark. Most recently she was Finance Director for The Guidance Center in Leavenworth. Carolyn’s career has been marked by experiences with organizations of varying sizes and in various industries, providing for a strong background in financial analysis, corporate accounting and reporting, and operational management. Carolyn will be working with small business and individual clients at DeMaranville and Associate CPAs LLC. Sarah Pipkin, CPA Sarah entered public accounting in 2003 and earned her Certified Public Accountant license in 2009. At DeMaranville & Associate, CPAs LLC, Sarah works with small businesses and individuals, providing a full range of services.  Her responsibilities include payroll processing, monthly accounting, and the preparation of compilations and reviews. Additionally, Sarah is available to prepare corporate, individual, and non-profit income tax returns, and to assist clients with various accounting software programs including QuickBooks. Ashley Johnson, Staff Accountant Ashley is currently completing a Masters of Accountancy and is preparing to sit for the CPA examination in 2010.  As a summer intern and a staff member at the firm since 2008, Ashley has gained valuable accounting experience. She processes payroll for small businesses and prepares individual tax returns.  A native of Leavenworth County, Ashley currently lives in rural Easton, KS. She has a son, Noah, who is two years old.   Education: Bachelor of Science, Business Administration – Accounting, Kansas State University, 2008 Masters of Accountancy, MACC, University of Kansas, 2009
Mary Louise Henning, Staff Accountant & Business Manager Mary Louise Henning joined the DeMaranville team full time in 2010, after intermittently helping out with special projects. Mary Louise’s areas of expertise include new business set up, QuickBooks set up and training,  payroll processing and reporting, multi-state sales tax preparation, monthly accounting, preparation of compilations and financial statements, marketing, real estate, construction, Federal Student Aid application processing, electronic filing and employee benefits. Mary Louise is also Business Manager for DeMaranville & Assoicates CPAs, LLC. Mary Louise was raised in South Georgia and lived there until she and her husband, Daryl moved to Leavenworth, Kansas in 1998.  They reside on a small farm in rural Leavenworth.  Mary Louise has two sons, Jason and David and four grandchildren, SarahBeth, Brittany, Rylan and Sydney, who live out of the area.  She has step-children and grandchildren in Atchison and Leavenworth. Sheila Thibault, Staff Accountant   Sheila comes to us with a full range of business and supervisory experience . She has lived in the Leavenworth community since 1987 and has been very involved with the local Catholic schools and church.   Her most recent employment was at the Leavenworth Catholic Schools as the Finance  & Accounting Manager where she managed their accounts receivable and accounts payable, processed  payroll and compliance reporting, oversaw the employee benefits and prepared the monthly financial statements. Sheila continues to volunteer at the school. Our clients will benefit from Sheila’s experience as she assists small business clients with their accounting needs to include: payroll processing, financial statement preparation and general consulting. She will be available to help train clients struggling with QuickBooks software. Sheila will also assist in the preparation of individual tax returns. Sheila is married to Mike and has two sons, Josh and Jared, and they live in Lansing, KS.
