Sherry L. DeMaranville, CPA
The managing partner in DeMaranville & Associate, CPAs, LLC, Sherry has practiced in public accounting since 1989. Her consulting clients receive assistance with cost savings, fraud prevention and detection, entity evaluation and selection, retirement planning and ownership transitions and income and estate tax planning. Sherry is licensed to practice in Kansas and Missouri. Sherry has extensive experience with issues affecting both active duty and retired military personnel,
real estate investors, construction clients, farmers, and professional service clients. She has represented clients before the IRS during audits, with delinquent tax filings and back payments, and various notices and letters. She resides on a farm in Atchison County with her husband Paul and their three children: Andrew, Matthew, and Kaitlyn.

J. Sanford (Sandy) Bushman, CPA
As the senior member of our team, Sandy opened his first accounting office in Leavenworth, Kansas, Morris & Bushman, Accountants, in 1959. He later formed the partnership of Bushman & Wolf, CPA's and has remained active as a CPA in Leavenworth since. His specialties include corporate and individual income tax, estate tax, and trust accounting. Sandy married Alice R. Kimbley in June of 1959. They have three children, Kim Kincaid of Leavenworth, Tanna Chaney, Ashland, MO, and Jay Bushman, Reno, NV and have four grandchildren. His hobbies include fishing, bridge, gardening, and traveling with his wife, Alice. He is also an avid KU fan!

Sarah Pipkin, CPA
Sarah joined the DeMaranville team upon graduating from the University of Kansas in 2003. At DeMaranville & Associate CPAs, LLC, Sarah works with small businesses and individuals, providing a full range of consulting and accounting services. She is available to prepare corporate, partnership, individual, and non-profit income tax returns, and to assist with various accounting software programs including QuickBooks. Sarah's responsibilities also include payroll processing, monthly accounting, and the preparation of compilations and reviews. Sarah is a native of the Leavenworth area and currently resides in Platte City with her husband, Michael and their daughters, Ella and Sophia.

Derek Warden, CPA
Derek joined the DeMaranville and Associate team at the end of December 2012, after completing his degrees in Public/Private Accounting and Corporate Finance. He worked part time as an internship during the summer of 2010. His responsibilities include individual and corporate income tax, payroll processing, monthly accounting, bookkeeping, and government contracting. Derek is licensed to practice in Kansas. Derek was born and currently resides in Leavenworth with his wife Amanda. He enjoys hunting, fishing, sports, and getting involved in the community.

Barb Simon, Office Manager
DeMaranville and Associate CPAs LLC hired an Office Manager, Barb Simon, to the team in August 2013. She greets clients, schedules appointments, assists with technical issues, and maintains the website along with other office duties. Barb resides in Leavenworth with her husband, Al, and college son, Justis. Four adult children live nearby, Chastidy, J.R., Jimmy, and Crystal. Nine grandchildren complete her world. Her husband proudly retired from the US Army. They’ve been stationed all over the United States and in the countries of Panama and Germany. Barb comes to DeMaranville with a strong IT background and many years of administrative experience gained from working with the telephone company and in her years with the defense industry. She loves watching her children and grandchildren play sports and she volunteers at the Shelter of Hope.

Ashley Johnson, Staff Accountant
Ashley joined DeMaranville and Associate CPAs, LLC, full time in January 2010 after completing her Masters of Accountancy. She worked part time since the summer of 2008. Her responsibilities include payroll processing, monthly accounting, and preparation of compilations. Ashley is also available to prepare business, individual, and non-profit tax returns. A native of Leavenworth County, Ashley currently lives in Easton, KS. She has a son, Noah.

Kelley joined DeMaranville as a full time member in December 2015. She previously worked at the Fort Leavenworth Tax Center for two years and she also worked as a paralegal in Atlanta, Nashville, Austin, D.C., and Kansas City. Her responsibilities include taxes, payroll, and bookkeeping. Kelley's husband, Jeff, retired from the Army in 2014 after 23 years. They've lived in Leavenworth with their four children since 2012. Her daughter, Mary Catherine, is a senior at K-State and her son, Lee, enlisted in the Army in 2017 and is stationed at Fort Myer, VA.

Kenwin joined DeMaranville & Associate CPAs LLC in December 2014 as an Administrative Assistant. Her duties include assembling tax returns, payroll processing and bookkeeping. She spent eleven years working as a Personal Lines assistant in an insurance agency in Leavenworth prior to joining the DeMaranville team. Kenwin was born and raised in Leavenworth where she resides today with her husband, Jim, who proudly served in the United States Marine Corps. Her daughter, Karleigh, is a junior at Emporia State University. She also has a grown son, Justin, two grandsons, Jackson and Tucker, and one granddaughter, Elinore.
